Release your inner rockstar in this electrifying cardio jam session where the music leads. Rockout to your favorite soundtrack as you combine cardio, strength training and plyometrics with the sweat-dripping fun of playing the drums.
ANY AGE, ANY STAGE––ALL ARE WELCOME!
What is POUND®?
It is a high-energy, full-body fitness program from the United States that combines cardio, strength training, and elements of Pilates with the simulation of playing the drums. Set to rock music and using slightly weighted drumsticks called Ripstix®, participants burn calories, release stress, and improve their coordination and sense of rhythm all within a single session. It is an activity suitable for all fitness levels.
Inspired by the movements of drumming, this workout turns participants into drummers for a while: they “play” intensely while performing deep squats, lunges, and other movements that particularly engage the core, legs, and glutes. The use of Ripstix®, heavier than regular drumsticks, adds resistance and increases upper-body muscle work. In a 75-minute session that combines high-intensity intervals with strength exercises, the motivating music, the fun, and the feeling of being part of a band are essential elements of the experience, making POUND® a revolutionary, creative and dynamic alternative to traditional fitness training.
About Mathilde Kleo (She/they): Hello there. My name is Mathilda, which means "mighty in battle," my middle name is Kleo, which means "famous," and Colada stands for "relaxation." Quite a combination of who I am and who I am becoming. I was born in Eastern Europe, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and have been living in Western Europe—Germany and Spain—since 2017. I have felt settled in Berlin since 2021. I have a background in dance theater education, a yoga certification, and I worked as an entertainment manager in Spain for two years, with licenses in Zumba, Aqua Zumba, and Pound. I have been working in the fitness industry in Berlin since 2021, and since my transition as a trans woman, Now, I am able and becoming more aware of with whom I share my energy. I am so grateful and passionate to start teaching at Seitenwechsel, empowering my Queer and TIN* community. I believe in transformative energy and see my purpose in teaching my classes with my heart and soul. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, to being honest, vulnerable, joyful, aware, and human.

Coach:
My name is Mathilda Kleo (she / no pronoun), which means “mighty in battle.” My middle name, Kleo, means “famous,” and Colada stands for “relaxation.” An interesting combination of who I am and who I am becoming.
I was born in Eastern Europe, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and have been living in Western Europe—Germany and Spain—since 2017. Since 2021, I have felt at home in Berlin.
I trained in dance theatre, am a certified yoga teacher, and worked for two years in Spain as an entertainment manager. I am also licensed in Zumba, Aqua Zumba, and Pound. Since 2021, I have been working in the fitness sector in Berlin, and since my transition as a trans woman, I have become more conscious about with whom I share my creative energy.
I am incredibly grateful and very excited to teach at Seitenwechsel and to strengthen my TIAN* queer community. I believe in transformative energy and see my calling in offering my classes with heart and soul. I look forward to meeting all of you and engaging with one another in an honest, vulnerable, joyful, mindful, and deeply human way.
ICE SKATING WITH TINA, ESTHER AND ROBIN

Time: 19:00 - 21:00 (opening until 21:30)
Place: Eisstadion Neukölln
Languages: German, English
The trainings are open for all levelsIn this workshop we will learn the basic techniques of skating, e.g. choosing and putting on skates, finding balance, first steps, falling, braking, cornering, running backwards and riding with the non-preferred foot. But above all, we learn to laugh at ourselves because we need to learn that more than anything else when skating. All levels of skaters are welcome to have fun with us on the ice.
On December 17th, we would like to celebrate the last OUT*side session of the year again with cookies and Glühwine at the ice rink!
Coaches:
Robin (they/them) loves sports, exercise and being out in nature. Whether on snowshoes, in a kayak or on a bike. At Seitenwechsel, Robin offers canoe trips and at OUT*side, he offers ice skating.
"I love being outside all day, gorging myself on pasta and pesto around the campfire in the evening, and then laying down in the tent exhausted. I look forward to working with you to create a space where everyone can feel comfortable. Everyone is just right the way they are. You are valid. Especially in sports, it is important to work in a gender-reflective and discrimination-sensitive way. I have been looking for such places for a long time in vain. That's why I'm all the more excited to be part of the OUT*side team and to share my passion for sports and exercise with others."
Tina (she/her): At first, I only watched ice skating—Hanyu Yuzuru, the Grand Prix Final, or synchronized skating—but ever since I tried it myself a few years ago, I can't understand why I ever stopped after childhood. I love the gliding, elegant movements, but also the speed and the challenge of overcoming my fears. It's also wonderful to skate laps with friends and chat with them.
Attention! Admission and shoe rental are NOT included in the offer. Admission costs 4 €.

Important info for TIN folk to hike!
Safety
For our walks in Brandenburg, longer S-Bahn journeys or journeys on regional trains are required. The meeting points are - as far as possible - within the city (Gesundbrunnen or Ostkreuz) to give you the easiest and safest access possible. The subsequent rides will then take place under the protection of the group, where you can always feel in good hands. If you have any questions or needs for a safe arrival and departure, please let us know.
Travel costs
We try to keep travel costs associated with our walks as low as possible. Wherever possible, we offer the use of the Brandenburg-Ticket. If the travel costs still prevent you from taking part in the hikes, we are happy to find individual solutions. Please inform us of your needs when you register.
This project is sponsored by the district of Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg's planning and coordination department for health.
