FLINTA* and MINTA* against transphobia
Seitenwechsel e.V. is organizing a weekend of events (June 29th and 30th) at Poststadion, as part of PRIDE HOUSE BERLIN 2024. The focus of the weekend is on TIN*(trans*, inter*, non-binary) inclusion in sports and how FLINTA* (women/lesbians, inter*, non-binary, trans* and agender people) and MINTA* (mädchen*, inter*, non-binary, trans*, agender youths) can act together against transphobia.
On Saturday, the project "Charter for Gender Diversity in Sports" will host various workshops. The goal is to raise awareness about TIN* discrimination in football and sports in general, and how we can act in solidarity against it. There will be an open awareness workshop for all interested cis-participants, a working group for TIN* inclusion in sports, and an empowering zine workshop for all TIN* athletes.
On Sunday, there will be an all-day FLINTA* football tournament. We aim to empower TIN* individuals while playing football respectfully together. There will be an awareness-team on-site. Sunday will also feature various sports activities for MINTA*, including football, climbing, parkour, skateboarding, calisthenics, self-defense, juggling, and spikeball!
Participation is completely free.
Facilities: Two group changing rooms available; these are exclusively for our events. All gender toilets.
All participants will receive a cool Seitenwechsel-Pride House 2024 T-shirt (while supplies last).
Who is welcome?
The target audience for the activities and the tournament includes TIN*people and cis people who are seriously interested in addressing transphobia and respecting TIN* individuals. Not sure if this is the right place for you? The workshop on Saturday is aimed at those who have not yet engaged with the topic but are eager to learn.
And of course, afterwards, we will watch the Men's European Football Championship Games together on the big screen from the Poststadion stands.
