Trans*Camp 2025 – International Gathering for TIN*Youth

When: 21–27 September 2025
Where: Barcelona, Spain

What is Trans*Camp?

Trans*Camp 2025 is an international gathering designed for trans, intersex, and non-binary (TIN) youth. It offers a safe, inclusive, and enriching space to connect with the community, learn wellness strategies, and engage in physical activity.

Young TIN* often face isolation, social exclusion, mental health challenges, and limited access to inclusive physical activities. This camp is designed to break those barriers and offer a positive, empowering, and transformative experience.

Camp Goals

Trans*Camp 2025 aims to strengthen the well-being and empowerment of TIN youth by fostering resilience and self-confidence through wellness practices, encouraging leadership and active participation, and creating opportunities for meaningful international connections. The project seeks to reduce social isolation while building a strong, supportive European network of TIN individuals. It also explores the positive impact of inclusive physical activity on mental and emotional health and promotes collaboration among partner organizations to reinforce the informal TIN sports network.

 Who Can Participate?

  • 30 TIN youth aged 18–25 (6 per country).
  • Participating countries: Spain, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Germany, and the Netherlands.

Activities

Participants will take part in workshops focused on wellbeing, self-care, and mental health, offering tools to support their personal growth. The program includes inclusive and adapted outdoor physical activities that encourage movement and connection with the body in a safe and affirming environment. There will also be dedicated spaces for artistic, cultural, and personal expression, allowing participants to share their stories and creativity. Group dynamics are designed to foster trust and a strong sense of community. Some sessions will be peer-led, created and facilitated by the participants themselves to highlight their voices and talents. There will also be free time to enjoy nature, rest, and engage in recreational activities that support relaxation and joy.

Approach and Methodology

The camp is grounded in non-formal education and peer learning, creating a collaborative  and engaging environment where participants learn from each other. It promotes high-quality, affirming, and accessible youth work tailored to the specific needs of TIN young people. From the earliest planning stages to the final activities, young people are actively involved in shaping the project. The program is led by experienced facilitators who use inclusive tools and resources, such as the Rainbow Youth Handbook, to ensure a supportive and empowering experience for all.
