TIN Swimming

Open to children, teenagers, and adults who identify as trans, intersex, or nonbinary; friends and family welcome (whoever you feel safe and comfortable with).

WHEN: Every 1st Tuesday of the month, 7:15–9pm (swim-time).

WHAT: This is an official swim club event, with free entry for members of Seitenwechsel sport club. Newbies can join the club for €4/month or €30/year (payable in cash) and access the swimming pool with their membership card immediately.
For those who don’t want to commit to club membership yet, the one-time entry fee is €5 (4€ reduced).
We can gladly explain the specifics of membership to you in person.

The water temperature is 26 °C (79 °F). There is a shallow non-swimmer section and 1-2 lanes for swimming lengths. Pool noodles and other accessories are available for you to borrow.

Following discussion among the participants, the two changing areas are currently used as follows:
a) Trans-Femme (cis women welcome)
b) All genders
Choice of changing areas is free in accordance with self-identification.

The swimming pool does not have step-free access. Please contact us so we can facilitate your participation.

Conny-Hendrik handles the entry area/ticketing. Carrie is responsible for lifeguard-duties.

Swim-time lasts until 9pm, as the building closes at 9:30pm. You’ll be asked to sign a liability waiver (affirming you're take part at your own risk). Show that this opportunity is unique and vital in Berlin by coming with as many people as possible!

So remember: 1st Tuesday of every month! Flip-flops are compulsory; any clothing is fine, so long as it’s swimwear material (no cotton T-shirts).

Bring a €1 or €2 coin for the lockers and 5¢ coins for the hairdryers.
